So, we kinda have a story and factions, now we need a name. It would be best to get it ASAP, so I can start to make promotion materials (sig bars and such).

Personally, assuming that Darvin will give his world a name, I'd like to call the game by that exact same name and nothing else (maybe a subtitle)

I think we should wait a little while for this.

Darvin's idea is going to be used it seems, but it will probably be modified a few times by the time we're done with it, and we'll end up renaming it 50 times.

I think we should wait a few days before we decide a name.

Oh, and of course his map is named Darvinland. So it'll be called "The History of Darvinland", but nevermind that now.

Darvinland really sounds dumb.  I'm sure we'll come up with names shortly, but for the time being I'm more inclined to add to to the histories and faction concepts.

What about the World of Nivrad? It's Darvin spelled backwards, and it sounds somewhat....right.....for the name of a world, or at least a city.

I read Nivrad, and I wondered "haven't I heard of that somewhere before... is it copywritten?" then I read on and I realized why I thought I'd heard of it before.  Nivrad seems more the name of a person, rather than a place, to my ears.  I'm not entirely sure of it as a result, but lacking any tentative name, it's all that really stands.

I actually don't want to name the world (because I'm really only focussing on a small subcontinent in the story), but naming that subcontinent should be important.  It's been defined by the rise and fall of the Tharwain empire in recent history, but as I continue to develop the map and history I should go back further than that and establish a more rich ancestory of the region.

I always find naming places much more difficult than people.  The "feel" and sound of names from people can often be recycled between fictions, but it feels very wrong to recycle the same feel to a name of a place from a fiction I've worked on in the past.  I also like to keep specific cultures and areas to have their own styles of names.  I take naming very seriously.

-edit-
Actually, just make Nivrad a bit-part hero in the campaign, good enough easter egg ^_^

with "world" we basically mean country, region, province, continent or whatever
